wow. xenophobia is alive and well in linguistic circles. Actually, i apologize to the linguistic community, the “author” or more aptly put ape with a laptop is obviously no more a linguist than a racist is an intellectual. This is the biggest pile of offensive crap i have ever read. I am ashamed that this writer appears to be a native English speaker. It is bigots like this that give America and English speakers in general a bad name. He thinks that Puerto Ricans garble Spanish?? Have a listen to your average New York speaker or Texan and see how awful their English is, if you think standard English is the only legitimate one. I don’t. So what they speak different than some people, language is meant to be spoken by one to another and if that is how they understand and speak it so be it. Nobody, especially this idiot, should be passing judgement on the correctness of language. Language is the most organic natural part of human culture.
